The Informer

by Oil in the Stone

/

about

Performed live at KingKongKlub: Mitte, Berlin.

lyrics

For we are clay, not lead nor gold, our fingers shape the mould.
If you look for another to smooth out the edges your own craft will slowly erode.

By the subtlest of elements with the quickest of whits;
The mirror, the dream, the narrator and the book

That tombs the great work which all mystics undertook.
To find their own way and to carve their own form,

Their fingers all ragged and torn, upon the strand against the stone.
Pages written in blood and bone, besides the tide of that unknown.
